Producers must assume extended producer responsibility for textile, textile-related and footwear products they make available on the market for the first time and cover the required costs of collection, sorting, re-use, preparing for re-use, recycling, other recovery, disposal, compositional surveys, information, reporting, and research and development.

Produzenten müssen die erweiterte Herstellerverantwortung für die von ihnen erstmals auf dem Markt bereitgestellten Textil-, textilbezogenen und Schuhprodukte übernehmen und die vorgeschriebenen Kosten der Sammlung, Sortierung, Wiederverwendung, Vorbereitung zur Wiederverwendung, des Recyclings, der sonstigen Verwertung, Beseitigung, Zusammensetzungsanalysen, Information, Berichterstattung sowie Forschung und Entwicklung tragen.
